The GBS/CIDP Foundation International is a non-profit organization committed to supporting all those affected by Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS), chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP), or related syndromes. Patients, family members, friend, and caregivers can get information on diagnosis, proper treatment, support, and recovery.
The GBS|CIDP Foundation International contacted us in 2012 when their online donations stopped working on their existing site. The site was becoming inconsistent and difficult to manage. The Foundation was also running a large community forum that was crashing and riddled with spam. Over the year as the organization has continued to grow, needing improved navigation and flexibility for integrating third-party tools.
Over our years of collaboration, YIKES, Inc. has helped GBS|CIDP Foundation International with multiple projects, redesigns, and website enhancements. During the pandemic, we helped pivot to online events, including a virtual exhibit hall for sponsors. As the Foundation has continued to grow, YIKES has helped expand the website for new features and functionality for its expanded target audiences and global community.
Recently we upgraded the Foundation to a WordPress Multisite install and implemented a new custom theme with updated technology, third-party integrations, and restructured navigation. We launched the first global, multilingual site, GBS|CIDP Foundation International Europe. The flexibility to the content editorial team allows for easily adding more resources, services, and support.
We love collaborating with the team at The GBS|CIDP Foundation International. They are committed and enthusiastic about providing as much support and as many resources as possible to help all those affected by GBS, CIDP, and related syndromes.
